Closure of limits

(Querist) 16 August 2017 This query is : Open
Sir My bank closed and released me no dues certificate on 25th july 2017 And On 14th aug 2017 has marked lein on some amount from my account as closure charges for that limit Is it legal in banking ?
krishna mohan (Expert) 17 August 2017
Once closure certificate is issued they should not have done that. You can represent to Grievance Officer of the Bank or Ombudsman for proper remedy.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 17 August 2017
Write to the Bank for removing lien.

If no result, file consumer complaint.
Dr J C Vashista (Expert) 17 August 2017
I agree with experts, once NO DUES certificate has been issued, no lien will be in force. If the bank insists just ignore or move to court to restrain the bank from harassing and taking any action.

You can approach concerned Banking Ombdusman for redressal. dr vedula gopinath senior lawyer/arbitrator vgnath@gmail.com
