What is your qualification in medical line?
jitesh kumar sethiya (Querist) 22 May 2015
I am a pharmacist

As a qualified Pharmacist, you may get the license from Health depatment and the local bodies to open a chemist shop. Home delivery or sale at the site of the shop would be your own choice. No hurdle.

Online selling of medicine is not recommended. You are required to see a prescription every time you sell medicine. Old records not sufficient. If I remember correctly there were some cases in news recently against some online sellers.

I tend to agree with Mr Jeetender Gupta.

Get clearance from the health department for this first. This is away from normal trend for selling medicine.
jitesh kumar sethiya (Querist) 23 May 2015
Ok i will take approval from health department

You have a licensed pharmacy outlet, delivery at door steps is not a problem.

At your residential address you can get a drug license for carrying on medicine supply business and can make home delivery. No legal problem will arise.
jitesh kumar sethiya (Querist) 23 May 2015
Ok thank u sir.

Normally you will be employing a under matric or just matric and at the most +2 boy the deliver the medicine and collect the cash.

If you insist that you will supply only non-scheduled drug on tele calling then your home delivery scheme will fail.

You can employ a licensed pharmacist to go for home delivery and see prescription before delivery. But before he has see prescription the medicine is sold out

because

when you send a scheduled drug then you are required to see the prescription. If you bill the medicine ordered on telephone then you have already charged off the medicine out of your stock. It matters little when / how you are paid, you have billed it with taxes put the medicine in transit.

First i will received priscription on whatsapp and photocopy by personally

you can not sell until you have seen the original prescription................while you are in retail business.

For certain class of drugs e.g. psychotropics.......... you need to retain copy of prescription for 5Y as per state rules...........

Check with local DI and relate with rules.

If you flout the rules the person to penalize is DI.

It is nothing but door delivery of the goods what you sell at your shop. there is nothing wrong in it until you follow the correct procedure meant for it.
