Sir,
I want to change caste in School L.C. I received School L.C. in 1984 & mentioned in L.C. my caste in Hindu Rajput, my original Caste is Hindu Kahar, sub caste Kevat, now, I want to change my caste in School L.C. as Hindu Kevat. What can I do? Which type of documents require for the procedure. How to get School L.C. with writeen in Hindu Kevat. My father was working in University there is written in Service Book surname is Kahar but my surname is different. there is helpful service book for my caste change. Kindly give me help & favourable reply.

Normally your caste will be the same as your father whatever the surname be. In case there was a mistake in the School leaving certificate way back in 1984, you being a working employee, how come you have missed this defect for so long. If you are working in the govt. and wish to use your caste to have leverage over your colleagues, you very well know who has the authority to issue Caste certificate or amend it. You can find out any land record standing in your father's name or the Service book you are referring to and prepare an affidavit accordingly and file the application in proper manner for obtaining the Caste certificate.

Thank you Patnaik sir & Sudhir sir for replying. Actually what happen in past, My father’s not desire to write the Surname as a Kahar then they have changed my surname it is OK.
But my father has been written caste in school as a Hindu Rajput, it is problem. Actually my caste is Kahar sub caste Kevat, but I haven’t any document. My father had worked in University, I have copy of my father’s service book in their service book surname is written Kahar. Is it enough document? Which another documents require? Can I go to court? or any other source? How to claim and go to court? How to prove myself my caste is Hindu Kevat? Where I can do affidavit. Please reply.

You can get the caste certificate from the competent authority mentioning your actual caste, if you want to avail benefits associated to your caste.
