Makasare Associates is a law firm that finds it's roots in Mumbai, when the Late Mr. Kiran N. Makasare started his practice in constitutional law back in the 1980's. He quickly became of one of the leading counsels in the State. He practiced as a defense counsel on the Civil & Criminal side.

The now popular (ex) Public Prosecutor Mrs. Usha K. Makasare, then began practicing law along with him.

Thereafter Mrs. & Mr. Makasare continued in the Criminal Courts as Defense Lawyers followed by Special Appointments as Special Public Prosecutors for the State of Maharashtra. Further on they both were Expressly Appointed as a Special Senior Counsels to CBI Mumbai, and continued to represent the Union Government in the same.

Many years later, their son Mr. Nishant K. Makasare built upon his practice and continues with Makasare Associates as Managing Partner to build and offer specialized & diverse legal services, relevant to the needs of individuals as well as corporates. Among other legal services, this firm has been providing legal services in Civil, Criminal and Commercial Litigation both in the Bombay High Court and District & Subordinate Courts, Tribunals and other forums in Mumbai and elsewhere.
