Indian Institute Of Patent and Trademark Attorneys is professional training centre for training, research and education in Intellectual Property Rights. IIPTA is established to increase the understanding, creation and exploitation of Intellectual Property-patents, copyrights and trademarks, trade secrets, industrial designs, etc. - as a tool for sustainable economic growth. IIPTA is committed to training students, engineers , holders of scientific university degrees, legal scholars with an LLM or an equivalent degree, whole range of professions in the IP field (Indian patent attorneys, IP experts for companies or clients, specialized attorneys, etc…) and even practitioners from varied industries who wish to broaden their own knowledge.

IIPTA programs not only help to become patent agents but provide specialized industrial and practical exposure of IPR industry and your individual IP rights. The curriculum has been designed and developed by Academicians, IP Attorneys, Patent Agents, Practitioners from the US, Europe and India with the objective of providing in-depth understanding on the subject of Patents and IP and building employable skills in this area. The curriculum includes traditional IP courses such as Patent Law and Copyright Law as well as more advanced IP courses such as Pharmaceutical, IT, Mechanical, Chemical and Biotechnology Patent Practice.

Training will be delivered using a mix of online (live broadcasting through internet) and class room sessions and include research assignments, presentations, group discussions, quizzes, mid & final semester examinations. Training will be delivered by International Academicians, IP Attorneys, Patent Agents and Resident faculty to provide familiarity to international curricula, by focusing on practical, business and legal aspects of patents & IP. The program participants will get first hand experience to learn from Indian, US & European practitioners and Attorney’s through the mentoring sessions.
