MP HC: Suomoto action on minor's gang rape

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed police to take proper steps to arrest those accused of a schedule caste girl Belkheda village.

Chief Justice A K Patnaik and Justice Pankaj Jaiswal yesterday took suo moto action on the basis of a report in an english daily newspaper.

On June 17, the minor was reportedly raped by five youths while she was en route to fetch water from a public hand-pump. The Bench gave four weeks time to police to file a report in the matter.
