With the help of Interpol and CBI, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Crime Branch (CB) unearthed a cheating case and presented a challan in a local court against the dealer here. A spokesman of the CBI said the challan was produced in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar against proprietor of M/s Marinex Chemie Saqib Faheem Kachroo, accused of offences of cheating and forgery. He said a complaint was lodged by Director of School Education Kashmir with the CB alleging that the firm had produced a fake SSI unit hold certificate, which entitles him to submit tenders for providing materials for chemistry subject. During the investigation it was found the firm had produced ISO-9000 certificate bearing number QSC-9000 reportedly issued from Rotherdam, the Netherlands. The certificate in question got verified from the concerned quarters in Netherlands through Interpol with the assistance of CBI New Delhi, during which the certificate turned to be fake.
