Wrong survey number in mother document

Hello Sir's

I have a query regarding my Land Survey Number. I purchased a land from a person and got it registered with a survey number X.The mother document also has the same survey number X. When I went for approval, the site approver said the survey number doesn't match the exact location of the land and so they can't approve it. So they said that I can't get approval with the survey number X and I have to build the house without approval thats the only option. I can't apply for bank loan also without approval.
So can you let me know how can I get a correct survey number for my land ?
And how can I change it in the mother document as well?
Also do I need to change in the mother document of the mother document?

Contact concerned authorities to find out correct survey number (if you had ignored before finalisation of sale/ pruchase transaction) and get it rectified / amended in all relevant documents.
