Hi

Experts

I m working in IT company as Hr Executive.

I want to know the minimum hours work in IT company, and my seniors told that in IT company if employees are working more than 8 hours then its not illegle, because IT companies will not come under any of the restricted working hours law.

My question is- Is it True, if yes then which law states that.

I think every company has it's policy to tackle working beyond stipulated 8hrs.

Relevant acts are Shop act, establishment act and companies act...

IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO companies are covered by (Name of the State) Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, standing orders and labor laws and like any other company are subordinate to law of the land……………… Work hours are 8/day:::48hrs/week and beyond it OT is applicable. ILO has recommended 40hrs/week.
