1.    Correct announcement based on ‘equity’ and ‘fair play’ to both genders in a maintenance case.

 

2.    Aggrieved wife does not have “absolute rights” for maintenance and Courts are waking up to make it binding on aggrieved wife.

Courts often felt and observed in their orders that parties lie before the courts about their income and hence have started to insist them to file affidavits in tune with "puneet Kaur Vs. Inderjjit Sawhney" case, where court prescribed format to dig out the truth, so that maintenance can be awarded fairly and properly and put the parties filing false affidavits to task.
