will of ancestral property

can a person who has ancestral property make a will of his ancestral property in the name of person not his natural successor/legal heirs?
if yes then how his legal heirs can claim their right in that property being coparcners in the ancestral property?

1. Ancestral Property CANNOT be WILLED away, without firstly conducting "Partition"  proceedings amongst the residual legal heirs.

2. File Civil Suit in local civil court, to claim your share of ancestral property.

Yes. File suit for partition.
