Wife wants to emigrate to u.s. without my consent

MY WIFE HAS FILED A COMPLAINT WITH POLICE  FOR CRUELTY, DOWRY ETC. SHE WANTS TO EMIGRATE TO U.S.. CAN IT BE DONE WITHOUT MY WRITTEN CONSENT? WE BOTH ARE HINDUS

Quick Summary
A husband is seeking advice as his wife, who has filed cruelty and dowry complaints against him, wishes to emigrate to the US without his consent. While there's no explicit law requiring a husband's consent for emigration, it could be considered cruelty and a ground for divorce. However, there's conflicting information regarding US visa applications potentially requiring spousal consent.

Hello,

There is no rule/law for getting the consent of the husband for going abroad. However, it is cruelty on husband and it can be a ground for divorce.

Incorrect for D 160 for U.S. VISA clearly states written consent of spouse needed
