In my opinion an experienced and mature lawyer is required, one who knows family law and also criminal law. A lawyer should be strong on law as well as the facts in the case. Only such lawyer can succeed. So stop looking for a lawyer dealing only in family matters or criminal law and look for a experienced lawyer.

agreed with A.V.Vishal but i think experience can be replaced by good legal knowledge and hardwork.

498a is a criminal case. crpc will follow. criminal lawyer will be better.

I have some different opinion. Lawyer can't be judged. It's always 50-50 result. Victory of one is another's defeat.

The best lawyer is one himself. One has to fight his case himself. No lawyer take responsibility if he looses. When he wins ,"I do it."  If he looses," it's your fault."

Generally lawyers faught on 'readymade track'. It's the judge who can do anything/everything.

Choose a good lawyer but also prepare yourself to fight .

Sorry if some lawyer feel bad . But it's my personal experince. I am not against lawyer. They are simply doing there profession. This this a public forum hence I replied.

It all depends upon the prosecution case. Even if u engage prodigy in criminal side, all the times the defense counsel wants to success d case at the same time the prosecution side also to keep their efforts to punish the accused beyond the reasonable doubt by examining the witnesses. So the evidence adduced by the witnesses is more important.
