Who investigates the matter?

If anyone complains against a cop to Commissioner of police so does the concerned police station in which cop is posted investigates the matter or someone else?

Quick Summary
When a complaint is made against a police officer to the Commissioner of Police, the investigation is typically handled by the Station House Officer (SHO) at the police station where the officer is posted. However, some question the effectiveness of this process, suggesting it might be futile if the SHO investigates their own colleague. The context and specific facts of the case are crucial in determining the appropriate investigative body.
