When Govt pays Five crores to Sportspersons for winning medals (which is Good and fine...), why only such a small money to the victim - who went in there to deal with the Terrorists? Hope they announce atleast a prestigious medal for him....

An ace shooter shoots and gets gold medal in Olympic Games, Government gives 1crore, Another shooter dies while shooting terrorist for protecting and saving the country, government gives  Rupees 15 lakhs.

WHO DESERVES MORE??????? Huh.. This is our India ....

Your point is well made. What I feel is that even corporate houses should sponsor our men who lost their lifes in attacks like these.

When our commandos were fighting with terrorists the same question was in my mind. Here in our country one who do something get nothing but one who do nothing get morethings. Our real heros are zero and fictitious heros are hero.

well said,

the irony is the admistrative wing gets more pay and even retired staffs when officiating a post are given exorbitant pay in the 6th pay commission but the army is given the step motherly treatment.

The Minister can't be photographed with the dead hero. Medal winner makes the Minister smile from ear to ear. Good photograph and media coverage.
