One of my friend too has been implicated under 498-A/406 case and want to hire woman lawyer as amjority of trail will be in Mahila court and seeks opinion. Whether its wise to hire woman lawyer for 498-A/406 cases as I too have rarely seen that any woman has ever contested the case from accused side?

you are innocent until proved guilty.
It has nothing to do with your lawyer's gender.
Because a female lawyer would serve you in the same way as a male do!

Check for the lawyer's back ground....some may be prejudiced....
