Where to change religion name in government id ?

 to change religion name:  it is a persnoal's identity and does not always require legal sanction.there are other reasons for informal changes of name that are not done for reasons of concealment, but for personal, social or ideological reasons.

i am recently converted and i would like to obtain certificate from my state government so the government records my religion as converted.

how can i update my status of religion in government.

i heard about getting caste certificate, what will be the requirements for getting caste certificate.
