Registration of trademark, patent and design is not compulsory .Since businessman earns a lot of reputation and money by using a particular mark, patent or design so it is always apprehension that some one may copy and use  that mark, patent or design and cause irreparable loss and reputation so for protection of loss and reputation businessman should get registered his trademark, patent and design.

Trademark Registration is not a legal compliance i.e. it’s not mandatory. It is a way to get ownership on your mark and prevent unauthorized use of the same. Misusing or copying a famous mark can actually lead to loss of business and clients. If you do not want to save your mark or you are fine with its unauthorized use by some other party then you can easily skip trademark registration.
