What is the extended deadline for a tax audit for fy19-20?

As announced by the government via a press conference, "Due date for all income-tax return for FY 2019-20 will be extended from July 31, 2020, and October 31, 2020, to November 30, 2020, and tax audit from September 30, 2020, to 31st October 2020.

As on 13th May 2020, FM announced the first instalment of the huge package of the AatmaNirbhar Mission of the Government. Under this, few steps have been taken for the due dates of Income Tax Returns and Audit for FY 2019-20.

1. The due date of Tax Audit under section 44AB has been extended to 31st October 2020 instead of 30th September 2020.
2. The due date for filing Income Tax Return has been extended to 30th November 2020 instead of 31st July and 31st October 2020.
