as far as i kmow, sumon is "official invitation to the court" and notice is "general information from the person / department".

Summon is a legal document issued by court while same may not be true for Notice.

Secondly all Summons are Notices while all Notices are not Summons

Though the words are used interchangably. Notice is in civil cases, summons are in criminal cases.

Effect is the same. Non-observance of summons can lead to warrants, and non-observance of Notice can lead to case proceedings ex-parte.

1-How the notice, issued by session court to the defendant in criminal revision, is different from the summon ?

2-What are modes/sources by which a notice, issued by session court, can be served to the defendant in criminal revision ?

3-What should do to serve the notice issued by session court to the defendant in criminal revision if defendant's address is not teressable but do present in another court in another matter at same premises.

4- Can the notice, issued by session court to the defendant in criminal revision, be served to his mother/brother if defendant residing and doing job at another place but having touch/contact with the family members ?
