what is the applicable jurisdiction

Dear LD Members,

 

What is the criteria for filing a 498a case in a particiular territorial court as applicable to the complainant, namely:

1. her parental home;

2. her matrimonial home;

3. place of offence;

4. her residence at the time of filing;

5. or any place she chooses to.

i think most appropriate place to file is the place of offence..not anywhere.even though manipulations do take place.

Where the cause of action for the offence aroused it the correct place of initiation of criminal complaint
