What is meant by Commencement of Trail

After charge sheet filed and commencement of examination of evidence

In civil case the commoncement of trail is that the plaintiff has let evidence on his behalf by coming in to the witness box and he as to mark the document which he relied in the main suit and the plaintiff  will be cross-examined by the defendant  on the fact he deined or contradiate, if the plaintiff has more than one witness the same procdur witll follow or his side of evidence will be closed after the cross-examintion finished and the case will be posted for the defendant side evidence he also subject to the same procedure as said above, after closing of his evidence the matter will be posted for arugment and after hearing of the argument of both side, the judgement will passed and base of the evidence produced and argument advane by both side. in the criminal case the procedure is different.
