According to the Bio-medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, anyone involved in the generation, collection, storage, transportation, reception, recycling, or disposal of bio-medical waste must be approved. Biomedical waste is defined as any waste generated during the diagnosis, treatment, or vaccination of humans or animals, or during related research activities, or during the manufacturing or testing of biologicals.
