What are the possible steps to be taken against 498a stepwis

The one and only step can be taken is by legislature by scrpping whole of Section 498A since it is a most misused provision of law which, I believe, will be agreed by others also including lawmakers.

One should try to collect as much evidence as possible about the misdeeds of the wife...her acquientances, motives, circle of advisors etc. to know what possible gain they, except the wife, may have out of such ill-motived steps like complaining under Section 498A of IPC.

We must not forget that the harrassment meted out under this provision is more harsh than under any other provision of law since the persons involved in this type of cases are family man having no past criminal record and worried of loosing their social status and reputation of which the friends and guides of the wife or her parent's family take advantage and see the tamasha.

And for such reason, our Apex Court on numerous occassions directed the administration not to take any harsh step but all efforts are in vain in most cases due to ill-motive of the administration.
