Wages on National Holiday

One of the employee is suspended for the misconduct...during the suspension national holidays falls...whether wages for national holiday is to be paid when the employee were in suspension period

Dear Naryanan,

Suspension is temporary.  The employee shall be paid for national holidays as he was paid before suspension.

You may take experts advise too.

 The suspended employee is entitled to subsistance allowance according to the existing rules of the company either  prescribed in the certified standing order of the company or model S O . He shall be paid subsistance allowance irrespective of any holiday it may be national or otherwise on monthly basis calculating on basic + DA admissible at the rate of 50 % in the first six months and latter according to  the rules up to 75 % of wages Paid earliar .
