Violation of work stop notice

I have filled a complaint in MCD regarding an unauthorised construction. A work stop notice was issued by the MCD to the concerened police station. The owner of this unauthorised construction have violated this notice. And now the property is booked by MCD undersection 343/344 as per DMC act. Now what action will mcd take against this unauthorised construction and what is the punishment of violating the work stop notice as per DMC act.

The owner may get an injunction from the court and may use the regularization of unauthorized structures scheme with a penalty if proposed by Corporation.. Unless the owner is powerful and influential, he can not dare to violate the notice and continue the construction work.

You have stated that the MCD has already initiate action against the unauthorised construction and the violation of its order against the violator

Hence you may have to wait and watch the developments that may take place subsequently, because it depends on the authority to initiate further legal proceedings based on the law envisaged for this purpose.
