Victim of train robbery ac2 tier coach due to unauthorized entry

Last month travelled from Prayagraj to Jaipur. Some unauthorised persons entered the coach and stolen our valuble  jewelry near Gandhinagar Jaipur railway station inside train.Reported to GRP Jaipur bery next day and FIR registered after delay of one month.Still investigation in progress

Can we approach Consumer court against Railways for defficiency in services due to unathorised entries  in attendant attire with no checks from Attendents and TTE.As we feel such incidents can be avoided if attendents and TTE responsible to check unauthorised entry carry out their duty dillegently.

Quick Summary
A passenger was a victim of a train robbery on an AC 2-tier coach after unauthorised individuals entered the compartment and stole valuables. Despite reporting the incident and registering an FIR, the investigation is ongoing. The passenger is inquiring about the possibility of approaching the Consumer Court against Indian Railways due to a perceived deficiency in service, citing a lack of checks for unauthorised entries by attendants and TTEs. The consensus is that this likely constitutes a deficiency in service, making the Consumer Commission a viable avenue for seeking redress.

Yes, it is Railways deficiency of services for which you can knock the doors of Consumer Commission.

Nowadays, Railways are not providing attendants in AC Coaches. This certainly amounts to deficiency of service. And consumer court could be approached.

Yes.  You can move
