If the statement by wife is countered with Income Tax rreturns as such disclaiming, then the court can not consider such assumptions made in statements.

Court has no time for all that. Eventhough you make 1.5 lacs and your educated wife is seating at home then court will deny maintenance. All you have to do is attach citation with your reply. I am not paying anything even though I make 2.5 lacs per month and my wife is educated but seating at home.
