unjust maintainance amount

I DO NOT FIND ANY JUSTIFICATION TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE TO AN ABLE BODIED WOMAN.

WHY A PERSON WILL BEAR THE EXPENCES OF ANOTHER PERSON?

I RAISED THIS QUESTION SEVERAL TIMES BUT NO ANSWER FROM ANY BODY.

I WANT JUSTIFICATION AND NOTHING ELSE.

Don't play with words(beg and demand).Dowry is illegal.Even foreigners make fun of this Indian custom,but in their own countries,maintenance is valid.DV Act also has emerged from the west and later brought to India.
