If a warrant has been issued for an accused in a Section 138 case but they are absconding, the court may need to issue a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW). However, if the accused has moved from their registered address, an NBW might be ineffective. If the police manage to arrest the accused via NBW, there's a chance to recover the money; otherwise, recovery may be difficult.
