Two names of same person

Dear Sir,

I am known by 2 names, one happens to be my real name and the other my nick name (eg. Raminder Manik - real, Lucky Manik - nick). When I joined an organization, I put my nick name in the biodata and started to be referred by my nick name instead of my real. I need proper documentation duly approved which states that both the names are for the same person. For your information, I have a 'same name' affidavit however I have heard that is not enough. My concern is that if tomorrow a company has to do verification on me, or if I need to change to another company or if I need to travel abroad (USA visa) from my company my 2 names should not create an issue for me. Though one of the solution is to change my name, but I was wondering if I can continue to be referred by my nick name without changing the actual name. I need your kind guidance and help in this regard. I was advised to get a gazzette documents prepared however I am being informed that they just do name changes and not '2 names refer to the same person'.

I am in urgent help in this regard. Please reply with complete and approved details by which I shall not face any problems in future. I thank you for your kind help.
