In courts, documents can be attested by advocate as true copy . Notory public is permitted to do such things generally

Probably, Mr. Patel is hinting at Whether an Advocate is eigible to attest documents of general nature leaving aside legal documents dealt by him . No such power has been vested with Advocates by law till date.

an advocate having notry public or having gazetted oath commissioner can do. except these an advocate has no power to attest the document.
