Hi,
My maiden name was nidhi sharma, now some shares (in physical form) are being transmitted to my madein name, I hold my PAN in my married name i.e nidhi gupta & wish to get these shares transmited to my new name ie nidhi gupta. How shuold i proceed. Please suggest an appropriate way.

You made confusions in respect of your maiden name and matrimonial name.
Whatever, make an application to the concerned companies along with an Affidavit sworn before a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class. Beforehand know exactly how much stamp duty is required from the companies. Normally Affidavits for change of names in shares are made in Rs. 100/- stamp papers. But hey can vary from state to state.
