Transfer of vehicle

Hello Friends,

Please give me guidance on the below issue:

I have obtained divorce. But 498A case is pending. Iam a wife in the present case. I have only taken divorce, and not articles. One two-wheeler which is in my name is in the possession of my ex-husband. I don't want it back but want to transfer the ownership to him or to anyone else of his choice but he is not coming forward for transfer.

Can anyone please help me in this regard as to what should I do?

If anything happens through that vehicle, will I be responsible?

If you have original papers, go to RT Authorities and transfer the title of the vehicle on his name and send the fresh registered papers to his address. If you have no original papers, on a simple paper write a notice that you will not be held responsible either directly or indirectly to the vehicle or to any person/thing on accountof vehicle as the vehicle is in your possession, and send the notice to him by speed post and keep acknowledgment with you to obviate any future repercussions.
