transfer of property between siblings

I am an NRI and I have invested in a residential site in bangalore through my brother who lives there. The site is registred in his name. What are my options of transfering the property on my name. Can i go for the gift sale deed? Do I have to pay the registration charges again.

The property may be gifted back to you which will require compulsory payment of stamp duty and registration charges.

to lower the registration costs is there any other option other than gift deed. Can my brother transfer the property to my parents and then  they to me.Thanks

The gift deed is the only least expensive option in case of Maharashtra and I think the same would be for Karnataka.

And if you think the property be transferred to your father then to you even then it would cost double expenses so let the same be gifted back to you by registered gift deed.
