Transfer of property (at faridabad)to daughters after father’s death

My father in law passed away without any will. My Mother in law passed earlier. Now his legal heirs are his 2 daughters. One of them is my wife. There is no dispute. What is the process of transferring his house(located at Faridabad, haryana) to both his daughters. I and my wife live out of India and are here only for short time. Can this transfer be done without my wife being physically present. Appreciate experts help. Thank you.

Quick Summary
This discussion outlines the process for transferring property in Faridabad to two daughters after their father passed away intestate. The property automatically vests with the legal heirs (the daughters). To formalise the transfer, a surviving member certificate is required from the Tehsildar, followed by an application for mutation of title in the municipal and village records. Consulting a local lawyer is recommended for navigating the specific procedures.

She has to obtain surviving member certificate from concerned / area Tehsildar and apply for transfer / mutation of title (ownership rights) in the name of both the sisters (daughters of deceased father).

It is better to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for proper proceeding.

On the death of the parents, the property is already vested with the legal heirs - the daughters. They can get the property mutated in municipal as well as village records. The procedure in this context varies from State to State.
