Transfer of property

Dear Ld Members,

Greetings!

I have a propery in Delhi which i want to transfer to my mom withouht any consideration ensuring that it is irrevocable, my wife(prospective) cannot claim any right/title to it if anything goes wrong after marriage or otherwise also.

please  suggest me the mode of transfer, should i go for sale deed or gift deed taking into consideration the above inputs

i will be highly thankful for positive/detailed reply

Prefer sale deed.

Dear Rohit,

You can execute a settlement deed in favour of your mother and the settlement deed is sufficient and the same cannot be cancelled or revoked unless there is due acceptance by your mother.  Settlement Deed can be made without any consideration.

thanks for the reply, i hope in settlement deed, transfer to title is a complete one and i cannot claim any right to the same being a son since if i cannot claim any right which means my wife will also not have any right, hope i am right in my supposition
