Transfer of flat to sister's name

I purchased a flat in my name in Navi Mumbai in 2005 with the financial support from my younger real sister and since I am not in a position to repay her the money, I wish to transfer the flat to my sister's name.

Kindly guide me how to go about it and the transfer cost etc.

Execute the regd., rights relinquish deed in your sister's name.  It is more than sufficient.

U registration a relinquish deed / gift deed / sale deed at registrar office in your sister favour and pay actual stamp duty and registration fee as per law but first u contact local lawyer / sub-registrar for that.

you may execute a registered gift deed in favor of your sister

you can make power of attorney in her name which should be irrevokable,is the cheapest way to transfer.

However,in some of the states' Act bar the POA for transfer of property,that you have to check at your end or inform from particular state the property is situated.

TRANSFER OF PROPERTY BY WAY OF EXECUTING POA IS NOT ADMISSIBLE. PLEASE GO THROUGH THE RECENT JUDGMENT OF SUPERME COURT.
