dear sir,
in the event of a divorce, to whom does the mangalsutra and gold given by husband go to, does it remain with the woman, or is it given back to the husband, what does the law say on this, also what about the gifts recieved by the husband and wife, are they divided or what?

undoubtedely it will go to wife being stridhan if proven that the same is with someone else than herself.

if its MCD, division would be as per the terms agreed upon by both the parties.
