It will go against rules of employment.  If found out you will be debarred from service.

Pursue, your appointment letter, Service Rules, Conduct and Discipline Rules.

You will get the answer in published/printed form...................=NO.

It can be true vice versa also.

i.e. Even the Service Rules of a Private establishment may not permit parallel gainful employment/venture.

So 1st thing to do is to pursue the applicable rules.

I am not able to agree with Mr Kumar Doab.

CCS(Conduct) rules forbid such activity on part of govt employee.

Healthy discussions leading to details and illustrations are always welcome Mr. Sudhir Kumar.

Regret could not understand what is the disagreement!

I have already posted: Even the Service Rules of a Private establishment may not permit parallel gainful employment/venture.
