Time bar on disputing agreements

is there a limitation of time before which one will have to dispute an agreement made? A joint family agreement for division of property made 40 years ago can it be disputed now?

Whether your family settlement/agreement is registered or not ? if not then such family settlement/ agreement has no value in eye of law.

It is a registered document having paid stamp duty in 1976. Can it be challenged in 2017?
