Threatning mental harassment case against me

I had a physical relationship before marriage. After marriage it continued digitally. And now this person expired due to viral fever and pneumonia. And his family is threatening to go to court against me, that I caused mental harassment. I don't know what to do. Please advise.

Quick Summary
A user is seeking advice after the family of a deceased former partner, with whom they had a relationship that continued digitally after the user's marriage, is threatening legal action for mental harassment. The user is also concerned about explicit images held by the deceased's family, who have also attacked the user's parents and damaged property. Police have advised the user's parents to press charges, but they lack the financial means. Advice suggests consulting a local advocate, filing a police complaint, and potentially challenging any court case as baseless, while also noting that adultery is not a punishable offence for women in India.

Consult a local advocate and file a complaint against them in Police Station and file a case if necessary.

You do not have to do anything about it.

He has not even committed suicide nor there is any evidence that you have harassed him

He is reported to have died due to illness for which you cannot be held responsbile

If at all they go to court for any reason you can challenge the same and get the case dismissed because first of all court will not entertain any such fictious complaint, even if somehow they manage the same, it cannot be maintainable.

It is your apprehension and not reported till now.

Wait and watch.

As and when any case is registered you should consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts, professional advise and necessary proceeding to protect your rights.

In India the offence of adultery is punishable under Section 497 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 1860. As it stands, this Section makes only men having s*xual intercourse with the wives of other men without the consent of their husbands punishable and women cannot be punished even as abettors.

They have some of my explicit images which was taken without my consent. Also they have attacked my parents and damaged my father's shop. Also have hurt them. Police have told to file charges against them. But my parents don't have the means to fight a case. I don't know what to do. Please help.
