According to khushbu’s statement that, - ‘no harm if a woman, establish a premarital s*x relationship, with enough precautions, moreover, the educated young men should not expect that, his wife will be a virgin one’.
Some Tamil NGOs dragged Khushbu into court, under IPC, for her above statement. Against it a few Humanist and female Ngo workers protest it on saying that, it is an attack on freedom of speech, under Art.21 of The Constitution of India.
Khushbu moved to Supreme Court on the above plea, but there also she refused by the court of CJI on saying that the court cannot accept the logic of Khushbu.
A past SC ruling was that, the premarital relationship is not a matrimonial cruelty. This cut the CJI;s logic and support Khushbu’s statement.
Though khushbu’s statement hurt the male ego; but is not that, she much more realistic and practical? Should we ignore the ground reality?
