Theft u/s 379 of ipc

Sir/Madam,

in one case i found that accused has been charged u/s 384, 379 of ipc and sec.66 of IT Act 2000.

my question is that taking out pictures or important details by hacking email of someone else whether such act attracts sec. 379 of IPC. If then  how it comes under ipc.

i need your valuation suggestions
