In UP under
THE BUILDING AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION WORKERS (REGULATION OF EMPLOYMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE) ACT, 1996 all Addl.LC's and DLC's have been notified as registering authority. The employers, as defined in this act, who come under the perview of the act kindly get registered with the concerned Addl. LC/DLCs. The mimimun prescribed fees for the purpose is Rs. 1000.

ALCs are also registering authority and DM is cess collector/cess assessment authority.

Sir, Are ALC's posted in independent offices like me, can also register a employer under BOCW act?

In Kerala, the Dist. Labour Officers are the registering authorities and the Asst. Labour officers are the Assessing Officers.
