"Tenancy" has been used for letting of the "Property (Land / House / Flat)" for a short period {Eleven (11) Months} that will be further renewed at the end of the period unless the tenant or landlord ends it by giving written notice. The landlord can change the terms with a proper written notice.

A written "Lease" gives a renter the right to occupy for a Set Term (Long Term), as long as the tenant pays the rent and complies with other provisions. The landlord cannot raise the rent or change other terms during the lease, unless the tenant agrees.

However, now  the word leasing is no longer confined to renting of landed property alone. It has for long time also been used for the acquisition of vehicles, equipment and machinery and other movable items. In these contexts, its applications are somewhat different.

Lease is grant of property for a specific period on conisderation of rent.

Tenancy is condition of a tenant, the temporary possession of what belongs to another by his consent and on consideration for a sum called rent.

In short both are one and the same, whereas licence and lease are different
