Tekengana coop society adhoc committee

Hello all,

Want to know that:

1. Maximum how many members can be there for submitting the Ad-hoc Committe list to the Registrar, for a new housing complex.

2. Can both the first and second owners be the part of the Adhoc Committee?

Best regards...

The number of members in an ad hoc committee of a housing society in Telangana state depends on the bye-laws of the society

An ad hoc committee may be announced for a specific area, such as the Hyderabad and Secunderabad twin cities

Show the Bye-Laws of concerned CHS to a local prudent lawyer for proper analyses of facts and professional advise.

Maximum Number of Members in Ad-hoc Committee The maximum number of members in an Ad-hoc Committee isn't explicitly stated, but it typically consists of 3-5 members, depending on the type of tower and commercial complex.¹

For instance, in CGEWHO's Bhubaneswar Ph-II, the Ad-hoc Committee consists of member-representatives elected for each type/block.²

Eligibility of First and Second Owners Only flat owners can be members of the Ad-hoc Committee.³

Therefore, both the first and second owners can be part of the Ad-hoc Committee, provided they are bonafide flat owners. It's essential to note that the Ad-hoc Committee's primary function is to conduct fresh elections and facilitate the formation of a registered cooperative society or apartment owners' association.

⁴ The committee's tenure is usually limited to a specific period, typically one year, or until regular elections are held.

After creation of new Cooperative Maintenance Society fresh elections shall be  conducted in terms of Section 8 A(b), 30(2)(i) and 31(1)(a) of the Telengana Cooperative Societies Act, 1964.

It is better to seek professional services of a local prudent lawyer for proper analyses of facts and necessary advise/ proceeding.
