TDS Deduction

Dear Friends,

Is it possible to find out if one's employer has deposited the TDS, (which the employer has regulalrly been deducting from one's salary), with the IT Dept.? In case Form 16 is not issued to him, can he still claim the credit for the TDS deducted by the employer?

We know the TAN and PAN no. of the employer.

Thanks.
