i was married 9 years back. Dowryless marriage - marriage happened in a temple and even the reception happened same time in the temple. No gifts exchanged - exstremely simple marriage - food served was completely vegetarian.
Now wife has put an expense claim of 25 lacs in marriage whereas the maximum they would have spent would be only around Rs 50 thousand. Her parents had other daughters to be married off and their financial condition was poor.
I have been given to understand that TEP (tax evasion) cannot be filed bcoz of the expense being 9 years old. Can anyone suggest me any steps so that I can get her parents bank accounts scrutinised by Income tax for their income tax returns during the said period as this will bring the truth out.
