I am an Indian living abroad. During my last vacation, the local police registered a case for alcoholic consumption in public place. I didn't consume alcohol really. It was a revenge of a Police officer. I left India few days later. Now I am expecting the summons from the court. How to respond to a summons issued on me from abroad? What will happen if I didn't recieve the summons?

This is a trifle case, criminal summons trial which will be closed in due course since you are not tracable.
Keep watch on the case through an acquaintance.
